What this site collects

This website is a static page. It does not set cookies, run analytics, or store anything you type. The enquiry form composes an email in your own email client; nothing from it is sent to or stored by this website.

What we receive when you contact us

When you email, phone or message us, we receive the contact details and the information you choose to give us. We use them to answer your enquiry, to prepare a scope or a quotation, and to carry out any work you engage us for. We do not sell personal information and we do not share it with third parties except where a project requires it (for example a client's document management system) or where the law requires it.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not become work are deleted within twelve months. Project records, including correspondence, are kept for as long as the Engineering Profession Act, the Pressure Equipment Regulations and our professional indemnity cover require engineering records to be retained.

Your rights

Under the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) you may ask what personal information we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, and object to its processing. Write to info@pipe-mech.com. You may also lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator of South Africa.
