Pressure equipment and piping engineering, built on a digital backbone.

PipeMech Engineering is a South African design office for the oil, gas, petrochemical and chemical industries. Professional engineering registered with ECSA, full 3D design, and an AI-assisted office that drafts, checks and tracks every deliverable before an engineer signs it.

3D design & drawings

Everything modelled in 3D before a drawing is cut, clash-checked against the existing plant and extracted as a complete drawing set.

  • Inventor and Plant 3D modelling
  • Point-cloud registration of existing plant
  • Navisworks clash detection
  • GAs, isometrics, weld maps, BoMs
Autodesk · Bentley · Intergraph

Also: feasibility studies, technology sourcing, structural steel for factories and warehousing, owner's engineer reviews and documentation audits.

B Digital & AI

An AI design office, with an engineer's signature on every page.

We have rebuilt how a design office works. Discipline agents trained on our codes, standards and procedures draft the calculations, datasheets, registers and drawings. The office then checks the work the way a design squad would, and a registered professional engineer reviews and signs what goes out. Clients get first drafts in hours, not weeks, with the same accountability as before.

Draft

Agents draft the deliverable

A vessel, piping, materials, HSE or document-control agent takes the design basis and produces the deliverable in our templates, to the code it names.

  • Wall thickness, nozzle and flange calculations
  • Datasheets, line lists and design registers
  • HAZOP preparation and relief screening
  • Drawings as SVG and PDF at sheet size
Check

The office squad-checks it

Every drawing and calculation is checked against the design basis, the code and the rest of the package before an engineer sees it. Holds are listed, not hidden.

  • Squad check of drawings against the model
  • Design verification matrix per deliverable
  • Inter-discipline consistency checks
  • Audit trail of every version
Issue

An engineer signs, document control issues

Nothing leaves as anything other than a draft until a professional engineer has reviewed it. Document control then numbers, registers and transmits it to your system.

  • IFR, IFA, AFC and as-built trail
  • Certificate of Design and SANS 347 record
  • Transmittals to EDC, SAP or your DMS
  • Word, PDF and Markdown copies

PR ENG

Faster first drafts. Same professional accountability.

Every output of the AI office is stamped as a draft for engineer review. It is never issued, certified or signed by software. The professional engineer who signs the Certificate of Design has checked the work, as the Engineering Profession Act and the Pressure Equipment Regulations require.

C The office, online

Ask the design office anything, from anywhere.

PipeMech Office is the AI design office as a web app. Sign in with your work email, ask a question or drop a datasheet in, and the right desk answers in our templates, with the code clause it used. Chats and projects are shared with the engineers working on your job, so nothing is lost between a question and the deliverable.

Authorised users only. Clients and partners on a live job are added by PipeMech.

D Live project dashboards

Every site. One live picture.

Prommac.app puts turnaround and project dashboards in front of the whole team: scope, schedule and site readiness updated from the same schedule and scope register the planners use. PipeMech's digital team develops and maintains it for Prommac and its clients.

  • Scope at a glanceWork-order status, outstanding items and recent changes on a single board.
  • 3D scope mapsThe plant model with planned work linked to each item of equipment, on desktop and mobile.
  • Field trackersDaily tracking of valves, scaffolding, isolations and bolting, aligned with the site meeting schedule.

Access to each board is granted per site, by invitation from Prommac. The same platform can be set up for your plant, turnaround or capital project.

E Industries & tools

Plants that run hot, high-pressure and continuous.

Our work sits in process plants where the equipment is registered, the downtime is expensive and the regulator is involved. That shapes how we design, document and hand over.

Oil & gas

Separators, storage, pipelines and the piping between them.

Petrochemical

Synfuels and chemicals complexes, brownfield tie-ins and revamps.

Chemical

Corrosive services in metallic, GRP, FRP and thermoplastic materials.

Industrial gases

Air separation and hydrogen plants, turnaround scope and readiness.

Mining

Process plant equipment, tanks, structures and piping on site.

Engineering software

Code calculation, stress analysis and 3D plant design, with the model as the single source for every drawing.

F About PipeMech

A small office with a professional engineer at the centre of it.

PipeMech Engineering (Pty) Ltd is led by Wessel Vosloo, a mechanical engineer registered with the Engineering Council of South Africa, with a drawing office of senior mechanical and piping draughtsmen. Our vision is to be recognised for pioneering engineering of pressure and non-pressure equipment while holding the highest standards of safety, reliability and efficiency.

We work from Vanderbijlpark in Gauteng and on site at our clients' plants in South Africa and abroad, and we build the digital tools our clients and partners use to run their projects.

“Scientists investigate that which already is; engineers create that which has never been.”Albert Einstein

Safety

Risk assessed and planned before it is drawn. Compliance is the floor, not the target.

Excellence

Quality and precision in the calculation, the drawing and the record set behind them.

Expertise

Current in the codes and the pressure equipment technology they govern.

Innovation

New tools adopted when they make the work better, and proven before a client relies on them.

Client focus

Solutions fit for the plant and the people who run it, built on long relationships.

Integrity

Transparent, honest and accountable in every commitment, with an engineer's name on the work.

G Contact

Tell us about the equipment, the plant or the problem.

A short description is enough to start. We will come back with questions, a scope and a man-hour estimate.
